All dictation material on the CDs is counted at 1.4 syllabic standard word count.

All CDs in the speed dictation sections contains ten 5-minute takes for a total of 50 minutes of dictation per CD. Each CD contains material suitable for practice, transcripts, and/or tests.

Speed Dictation consists of three categories:

• Literary Dictation: The dictation in this section is straight material found in The Congressional Record, Vital Speeches, Legal Opinions, and other various categories.

• Jury Charge Dictation: The dictation in this section is the charge and instructions that the judge gives to the jury in jury trials.

• Testimony: The dictation in this section is two-voice testimony, which is also called discovery. Testimony is typically done in depositions, statement of facts, and courtroom trials.

The DRILL CDs consists of intense drill in the Testimony, Literary and Jury Charge categories. Each CD is approximately 45-55 minutes per CD. After practicing these CDs, you should see an improvement in your writing skills.
